Also seconded by VBK/AVG to Verkehrs-Consult Karlsruhe (VCK) to support this first child of the TramTrain family, Axel Kuehn was involved here in the early project phase, when the planning consortium of Rail Consult, Cologne and VCK was established and started working.
Main involvements at this stage included the steering of the pre-design of the city-centre route and the Brebach link to DB-infrastructure, as well as dealing with the infrastructure costs within the benefit-cost-analysis.
