TramTrain Day Budapest 11/2006

Axel Kuehn participated together with Rob van der Bijl, Amsterdam in a TramTrain information day in Budapest on November 10th 2006.

This event was planned and organised in co-operation with Zsolt Barna from Budapest University, who had written his thesis some years ago at Karlsruhe University on TramTrain issues. Co-operation with Zsolt Barna is also reflected by a Hungarian version of the TramTrain-page here...

Közlekedes Kft, a major Hungarian consultancy did host the seminar in their Budapest offices.

The idea of the information day was to offer and distribute information about state-of-the-art TramTrain and TrainTram developments and assessment methods in view of possible Hungarian applications (e.g. Szeged, which was used as a test case for the application of Kuehn & van der Bijl's 50 issues method in their 2004 paper on TramTrain - the 2nd generation //link to TramTrain page here//).

The one-day seminar found lively interest within Hungary.
